Most businesses can manage the basics of their Google Business Profile themselves. Keeping your information accurate, adding photos, responding to reviews, and publishing occasional updates doesn't always require an SEO agency.

If you're doing everything yourself but still can't seem to get found for the searches that matter to your business, that's a different question.
In that case, you may not need someone to manage your Google Business Profile — you may need someone to look at your local SEO strategy as a whole.
And that's an important distinction.
